AAOBA Organizes Bleoo Connect Career and Business Networking Event

The Accra Academy Old Boys’ Association (AAOBA) held its maiden career and business networking event under the theme, “Developing Careers, Building Businesses” on Saturday 28th July 2018 at the Accra Academy. The event dubbed “Bleoo Connect” took place at the K. G. Konuah hall and was organized to offer members of the Association an avenue for business networking and insights into career development with the goal of reducing the unemployment rate in the country and make indigenous Ghanaians businesses competitive in the global economy. BLFI Pledge List

Following the launch of the Bleoo Legacy Fundraising Initiative (BLFI) on 24th March 2018, the AAOBA President constituted an interim committee to coordinate the recieing of pledges from Bleoobii both home and abroad. The committee consists of the AAOBA President, Mr. Emmanuel Bruce-Attah, Mr. Simon Ontoyin and Miss Rebecca Yeboah. Bleoobii Presidents Meeting

A meeting of Bleoobii Presidents' was organised under the auspices of the AAOBA National Executive from 26th May 2018 to 16th June 2018 at the Ghana Armed Forces Mess in Accra.   40 year group presidents where invited, out of which 17 year group presidents attended in person or where represented. The weekly meetings which were held by decade groupings were convened and chaired by the AAOBA President, Mr. Emmanuel Bruce-Attah.  The meetings were organised to enable year group presidents; •  Brainstorm on how to improve Bleoobii participation in AAOBA activities. • Review the key provisions of the Proposed Amended Constitution. • Solicit Year Group contributions for the AAOBA Newsletter. • Update Year Groups on the Bleoo Legacy Fundraising Initiative. • Update Year Groups on the 2018-annual year group levy. • Discuss any other matters of interest to the various Year Groups. AAOBA Inducts 2018 Final Year Students

The 2018 batch of final year students of Accra Academy were inducted into the Accra Academy Old Boys' Association at a ceremony held at the K. G. Konuah hall on Wednesday, 9 May 2018. The 2018 year group donated a lectern to the School after their induction into the alumni association. Mr. Emmanuel Bruce-Attah, President of AAOBA, expressed gratitude for the donation  and noted that the School would have achieved much more progress if the Spirit of Giving  back to the School had been inculcated in alumni when they were students of the School.
